Monday Scores from Florida

Princeton senior center De'arius "Tank" Young

Cincinnati teams went 1-1 on the day in the Sunshine State……

·         Lake Wales (FL) 75 Taft 61: The Senators fell to 0-2 at The City of the Palms Classic in Ft. Meyers, Florida as they let their in-state opponent jump out to an early lead that Taft was never able to comeback from. Senior post Adolphus Washington had his second 20 point game of the event, and for the second time grabbed double digit rebounds. The shooting of senior Jalean Lowe and sophomore Marcus Scott provided most of the rest of Taft’s points as the duo each scored 10. The Senators will play again on Tuesday in another consolation round as they try and get their first win at the annual event that is considered the nation’s toughest competition.

·         Princeton 89 Lake Mary Prep (FL) 72: The Vikings won their first game at the Rock Holiday Classic in Coconut Creek, FL based on a strong first half which ended with them leading 42-29. The leading scorer for Princeton was senior center De’arius “Tank” Young who tallied 17 points on the night as every Viking scored.
