Friday's Division I Regional Final Recap:

The Lancers are the SW Regional Champs
LaSalle becomes Cincinnati's first team to punch a ticket to next week's State Championships in Columbus with a win over GCL rival Moeller. Check back into Cincy Prep Hoops Report tomorrow to see what teams will represent Southwest Ohio in the Final Four from Divions II and III.

LaSalle 46 Moeller 35: It's the Lancers turn to represent the GCL in the Final Four as they won the tie-breaking game between the rivals at the Cintas center. LaSalle raced out to a 13 point halftime lead (mainly by forcing Moeller into 11 first half turnovers, and shooting twice as many FT's) and held on by their fingernails despite Moeller's best effort. Moeller started to get into their offensive flow late in the third behind the penetration of Charlie Byers but never could get any closer then 3. The difference in this game was the attacking defensive presence of LaSalle's starting group who made it impossible for Moeller to get their rhythm in the first half. On the offensive end the Lancers got great production from Brandon Neel, who only scored 7 points but was able to throw Moeller off kilter with his constant attempts to penetrate. LaSalle got 10 points from Trey Casey, 9 from Josh Lemons, 8 from Ryan Fleming, and 6 from Matt Woeste. Moeller was led by Charlie Byer's 10 points in his final game with the Crusaders. LaSalle's next game will be the State Semi-Final on Friday afternoon against the winner of the Toledo region.
