Zach McCormick of a 6'2 SG from Wilmington is transferring to Dixie Heights (KY) for his sophomore season. As a freshman at Wilmington, McCormick was sensational with averages of 16.7 points per game along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. These numbers, along with the high praises from many opposing coaches and scouts helped McCormick reach #2 in CPHR's class of 2014 rankings, he was also named first team all FAVC.
Interestingly enough, Dixie Heights is led by another class of 2014 stud. 6'2 SG Brandon Hatton is considered one of, if not the best, freshman in the state of Kentucky. Hatton scored 17.8 points per game in his freshman campaign while leading his team to a 29-4 record. Hatton and McCormick play together on the AAU scene with the loaded Kentucky Select 15u team.
