Weekend Preview:

Friday:
  • St. Xavier @ Moeller: The Bombers gave Moeller a little bit of a scare last time. As the regular season comes to a close expect Moeller to come out much more focused, with the goal of a undefeated regular season starting to come into sight.
    • Prediction: Moeller wins much more comfortably.
  • Roger Bacon @ Purcell Marian
  • Aiken @ Hughes
  • LaSalle @ Elder
  • Shroder @ Woodward
  • Withrow @ West High
  • Turpin @ Kings
  • Mt. Healthy @ Norwood
  • Talawanda @ Winton Woods
  • North College Hill @ Seven Hills
  • Milford @ Glen Este
  • Fairfield @ Colerain
  • Lakota East @ Hamilton
  • Lakota West @ Mason
  • Sycamore @ Middletown
  • Oak Hills @ Princeton

Saturday:
  • Mason @ Lakota East: Rescheduled from Tuesday. With the GMC season winding down this is a game with title implications. Mason needs this win desperately if they want a chance at the crown, if East gets the win they won't quite be home free, but they'll be close. East won the first match-up at Mason in overtime so we know that these teams are evenly matched. The test here will be if Mason can contend with the athleticism and depth of East without getting worn down. Mason is a solid defensive team and if they can keep this game in the half court and their shooters hit shots then it's anyone's game.
    • Prediction: Lakota East hasn't lost yet so far, why pick against them now? East wins.
  • Withrow @ Aiken: A rematch from one of the closest games this season, a game that Withrow won on two Aaron Thomas free throws. This one is special because it's Thomas' return to Aiken, where he played for three seasons. Withrow cannot afford to slip up and lose if they want to keep pace with Taft in the CMAC title race.
    • Prediction: Withrow
  • Junior PF Deontae "Teddy" Hawkins will lead Dayton
Dunbar against North College Hill on Saturday night.
North College Hill @ Dayton Dunbar: The Trojans will be tested in this one, it's always tough for Cincinnati teams to win in Dayton, against Ohio's top D2 team. Dunbar is deep, taletned, athletic, and has some nice size. They also have one of the state's top juniors in 6-7 forward Teddy Hawkins. NCH knows how to win these type of games and they have plenty of talent of their own. This game should look like a track meet with a lot of points on the scoreboard.
    • Prediction: Dunbar
  • Taft @ Woodward
  • West High @ Hughes
  • Middletown @ Fairfield
  • Wilmington @ Walnut Hills
